“They say that the things in your life today are things you once prayed for, and Holland Diane in this doll shop is one rejoicing reminder of all the prayers that have been answered in my life.
The shop is messier, everything takes longer, my eyes are wrinkler, and my body is more tired, but Lord, thank you for all of this. I see her looking at the tree lights and the dolls as I softly tell her stories of the woman who knew who she was so many years ago.
I tell her how my Mom made sure in her passing that we could live this life and come to work together and be happy. She made sure we wouldn’t miss a moment, and I want to drown in gratitude every single day we live them.”

The pain of losing Jonathan last December was unlike anything I've ever felt. It was the collective embrace of our community, and the strength we found in one another during the event that brought a glimmer of healing.
On this solemn day of Memorial Day, we gather together as a community to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. As a family-operated and owned doll shop in Colorado, we hold deep appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy today, made possible by the selfless acts of these courageous individuals.
I don’t usually go to work on Saturdays, but we have a lot going on at the moment, so Holland Diane, and I made a day of it cozy in our pajamas. It was just the two of us.
Hi there! My name is Holland Diane, and I have a very special Easter egg hunt story to share with you all. You see, my mom owns a doll shop, it is the one that my Grandma Diane had, and it's filled with the most magical dolls you've ever seen! They come from all over the world, each with their own unique story to tell.

28" Jumeau Bebe Triste, Emile Jumeau, circa 1880. Body marked Jumeau Medaille d'or Paris. This doll has applied ears. The body has been expertly refinished by Stanley, otherwise perfect!!! You have seen her in a lot of videos filmed at the VDC headquarters. Everything about this doll is over the top AMAZING!
This lovely French doll was just featured on our YouTube channel and she is so happy now at the shop. She is currently sitting in the chair by the window. She has made herself at home but wouldn’t be opposed to living with you, should you decide. We are naming her Isabelle. She is a size 10 Paris Bebe by Emile Jumeau. Interesting info from Theriault’s: Emile Jumeau, circa 1892, the model was presented by Jumeau after winning his lawsuit against Danel & Cie, and being awarded the right to use the tradename "Paris Bebe"; it is considered the precursor of Jumeau's 200 art character series.
Isabelle has no damage on her head, there are a couple of spots of the original paint from the artist that you can see on the nose bridge and under the chin. They are beauty marks and totally original. Marked on the head with “Paris-Bebe Tete Jumeau 10.” Her original body has been touched up in places but it retains its original markings including the Eiffel Tower stamp. She is costumed beautifully and has Jumeau shoes. This is a totally lovely antique doll, circa 1880s. This is a fabulous antique doll with a lovely and distinctive face.
In this free download, you can make a teacup to hold a little doll (hint, the baby featured in the teacup on the craft is available here!) or fill with Easter treats, or use in your spring display. The Easter Journal page and pillow box are made with antique and vintage graphics. We hope you enjoy this little treat. Easter is so many things - a day for hope, for new understandings, for wonder. We hope your Easter is all it's "cracked" up to be! Enjoy!
18" Kestner Kewpie Bisque Doll J.D.K. 12 with Antique Trunk and Wardrobe - trunk measures 20”x11”x10”
Who wouldn’t fall in love with this 18” Googlie with big brown eyes? This doll is a favorite in our shop. The body is NOT original, and there is a minor firing line on the bottom of the neck socket. Otherwise, this doll is an absolute treasure for any doll collector. You will delight in dressing this doll in his/her various outfits that have been carefully curated and put together by Linda in our doll shop. Such a treat!! She comes with an antique trunk, that has a paper-covered shelf with a lid to hold her many accessories. She comes with the following items:
Pink knitted skating outfit with hat and muff; blue and pink dresses; pink and white dress; red and white dress; turquoise and white spring dress and bonnet; blue and white check sundress with panties; red raincoat and hat with red and white stripe trim to include red rubber boots and umbrella; white smocked dress with blue smocking and collar with matching hat; bathrobe, washcloth, water bottle, pink knitted blanket, white crocheted with a pink trim sweater, cotton full slip; two pair of panties, two pair socks, white pair of shoes and gold ice skates!

12" Straw Stuffed Steiff Teddy Bear with Button in Ear - the squeaker no longer squeaks. A wonderful personality and lovely old Steiff bear.
Amazing Large Antique German Gottschalk Lithograph Dollhouse c.1890 - measures 23” wide, 26” tall, and 13” deep. Flex Pay options are available, email the shop to enquire.
Our favorite painting in the doll shop features a folk art portrait of a child with a doll, circa 1840, artist unknown. We had this stunning oil on canvas portrait made into 7” by 5” postcards with envelopes. Each order comes with a pack of 10 cards and envelopes. They are perfect for any type of occasion.
Every doll has a story.
One of the occurrences that we love the most is when a doll comes into our shop with a little tag or piece of paper with history. These downloadable tags can help you tell your doll’s story - even if that story starts right here with you! Once you check out, you will see a link that contains a download for these tags. Print on card stock, loop a string through and hang right on your doll. You can scale these up and down in your printer to make different sizes.
These were designed by the resident graphics artist for TOC - Diana Vining. Enjoy!

We recently enjoyed hosting Altyn, a passionate 12-year-old collector, at our doll shop. Little did he know that we had a surprise in store for him—a "doll show" where he could choose anything his heart desired.

March has been a busy month at the doll shop and it has seriously flown by. We have been working hard on some of the fun vintage and antique treasures that have come to our shop, with lots more!
We have been having so much fun filming in the doll shop and we have THREE new videos to share. Click on the photos below and go right to YouTube.
I don’t have a doll update just yet, but I do have photos that I want to share with you, you have been so loving and supportive of this journey, and thank you for giving me the space to share what is on my heart with you.
This sweet antique French bisque Jumeau doll has a special secret hidden in her undergarments, tune in with Rachel, Linda, and the doll shop crew to see what we are up to today in the doll shop. The antique doll shown is a Premiere Portrait Jumeau in size 0, measuring 16" tall.
How are you doing? It’s been a couple of weeks, and we have missed you! We have a couple of fun videos for you. Linda was out of the shop for FOUR WEEKS, and we had loads of dolls pile up while she was away.
This past weekend, Derek closed his ceramics studio, and I closed the doll shop, and we worked on the nursery. It was one of those weekends where you find yourself taking a deep sigh and thinking, "We should do this more often." So Derek painted while I helped update his website. It wasn't until recently that I started dreaming of things like how I might like a nursery. I found some inspiration photos on the internet that had large giraffes standing by, protecting the crib. I knew I didn't need to go out and purchase one as I had the best place to go.
How is your summer going?! So, as we're ankle-deep into the middle of July, I've been meaning to catch you up to speed on what's going on around here & check in on you.
It feels surreal to be writing these words to you, and I have wanted to write this email for a while. After all, you're my people. We have been through a lot together.
Over the last couple of months, we have had some fun adventures in the doll shop. First, we build a life-size Barbie Dream House in front of the doll shop. It is entirely made out of cardboard and wood, Stanley and Erik did an awesome job. Doesn’t it look SO real?
Oh, Sweet Girl, look at you. Dressed in pink overalls, playing with wigs and hats in Mom's doll shop. You'll grow up there, and every day will be a new adventure.
